Just an aside in response to your statement that "God is pleased in the inherent nature of the dog; it is exactly as God made it to be (unlike us)."
This has nothing really to do with the topic at hand, but it struck me when I read this statement that not all dogs are quite exactly as God made them to be in the physical sense... that here, too, is another situation in which man's interfering and thinking he knows best has brought down disabilities and problems for future generations... in this case, generations of dogs (and cats)... the act of breeding to perpetuate and accentuate "desirable" traits to extremes such as dachshunds with backs so weak they end up paralyzed or being destroyed and bulldogs (and persian cats) whose faces are so smashed in that they must struggle to breathe and endure chronic sinus and eye infections.
Off the subject, I know, but since the thought presented itself, I'll throw it out here. I wish I had something insightful or enlightening to add to the topic under discussion, but Steve and Dave are already handling things so well at this point... way to go!
