As most of you have probably noticed, I am relatively new to the Crossover refuge family. It was due to a very difficult personal situation that I turned to God a few months ago. And thanks to my friend John Lee that I found you guys.
You may have wondered who I was or why I didn't speak much to anyone (except John). Since this crisis in my life, I have been struggling with severe depression, which for a time, took away any will to socialize or to meet new people. I started coming to the church because I needed a place to strengthen my relationship with God, and through His grace, I have been making considerable progress.
I am grateful to everyone that has taken the time to introduce themselves and to talk with me. Thanks for taking the initiative, particularly when it was so hard for me to do so.
I definitely want to get involved much more in the weekly groups and activities--of course, owning a 6 month old puppy (a beautiful Sheltie named Connor--who claims he is sentient, by the way) has kept me from being as active as I would like. But I do look forward to meeting everyone and getting to know all of you much better.
