I was writing in hopes of encouraging you. You are still one of the most influential people in my life. I am definitely not the most spiritual , but I have learned and relearned to take life one moment at a time always seeking truth with passion, trying to recognize beauty in all forms, and to try to see God in all people. I have learned that God wants me to tell him what I think, that people want to hear what I think, not something that sounds smooth. I still have a long way to go with being vulnerable to people and accepting love, even from God...

I have learned that the entire point of my existence is to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and then to love my neighbor as myself. I've also learned that God wants to use me the way I am, where I am. Even though I can't say I always believe that He totally accepts me, I know that I should.

It seems like with God there are so many fine lines and balances we have to recognize, but from listening to you preach and from being influenced by Crossover in general I have learned that I can approach these fine lines with peace and trust God to speak to me. I have learned that even I am not too dense for God to reach. Thank you so much. I hope that you don't feel like your efforts are in vain. I really don't know what I would do if I didn't have fellowship with all my family at Crossover this summer.

I saw Lauren and she sends her love too. Her story is much like mine, but she could say it more poetically. From the beginning we have always left church saying how lucky we are to glean off your years of study and experience. I hope you had a good Easter.

Mary
