: My boss is looking for people to help our company, Turbine Generator Maintenance (TGM), temporarily (but could be longer depending on how things work out). He needs people who are mechanically inclined and willing to work hard. I think the pay is pretty good, and TGM will also do training. The jobs are usually in the eastern U.S. and last around 14 days or less. All travel expenses are paid (if I understand everything correctly).
: The job is kind of hard to explain, but I'll try. The position is called, "Turbine Mechanic." A turbine mech works on turbine generators in factories or power plants. Jobs vary in scope, but are usually performed when the generators are turned off for maintenance (this is called an "outage"). The mechanics stay at a hotel in the area and ride to work together. Depending on the size of the job, there could be up to two shifts (Day and Night).
: If you or anyone you know might be interested, please let me know, and you can get in touch with me at 1-800-226-7557.
Do they completely train someone, or do they need some kind of mechanical experience? This might be a cool break for some guys... uh, or girls... (we must be PC of course).
