Out Of The Depths

Poetry in motion or so they say
Why is this that I'm writing today
Error upon error, seems no room for return
Seems like I'm always getting burned
Crackheads within half a mile of me
Rednecks outside the door
When can I find the other land
Come washing upon the shore
Oh the longest drive, I've ever taken
Was I correct or badly mistaken
Fear and doubt straddled over my back
Pushing me further & further off the right track
Loneliness & depression hunched upon my throat
While around my head anixiety flowed in a moat
But the strength comes in like a flash of light
As the Holy One battles with all his might
His enemies fall quick by his sword
They are now bloodied and badly goured
A freindly hand lifts me out of my despair
As I notice the holes that are clearly there
As I fall on my face in reverance, he disappears
But in my spirit, He is always here.
