Bob's annual Halloween bash at the Meigs' place rocked. I was so glad to be among change-checkers, jungloe people and gun-toting space girls, not to mention marvin k. mooney and a jap vamp. ofcourse the highlight of the evening, and i think jennie perry would agree, was the solid block of cure songs that served as a backdrop to half the evening. bob, thanks for you hard work. thanks to the meigs for the haunts. thanks to all who brought food, drinks, creative costume offerings and upbeat attitudes to the ghastly gathering. a quick note about the all saint's day concert. this show was such a hit. thanks to all the bands who came out and shared. thanks to those who joined in. thanks to kliph and his little elfin assistants who put so much sweat into the event. thanks to all the chair sitters, money takers, candy sellers, hand stampers, building cleaners and all around great people. thanks to the dancers, the chatters and the video-tapers. thanks for bringing all your many talents together and getting behind our local bands. thanks also for those of you who pray for the bands. thanks also to yahoo, who's car i especially revere. these are my thoughts on halloween weekend, 1999.
