If you haven't seen this interview yet, you should check it out. The gist of it is that Doug Pinnick has just announced publicly that he's gay.
Because I have known Doug for years, I am already being criticized by certain ones for "letting Doug go to hell" and for not having the "courage" to confront Doug with the "truth". This is amazing to me - both the arrogance, and this psychic ability to know what I have or haven't said to Doug. It's just too bizarre...
I have prayed for Doug for years, and that's exactly what I will keep on doing. There are already enough self-appointed elohim running around pronouncing God's judgment. I care more about Doug than I care about being vindicated in the eyes of the self-righteous.
Doug may be in a dark place, but he is my friend, and always will be. I have prayed for him for years. I decline the invitation to join in the stone-throwing. If this makes me a heretic in some people's eyes, oh well. I will do the unthinkable, the damnable, the inexcusable, the heretical -
