: : : : CARPE DIEM.....if it kill me.

: : : My favorite DPS character is Todd Anderson (not just since he is played by the beautiful Ethan Hawke--Gattaca fame, Neil Perry's quiet, not-so-sure roommate. He is the one who wants to write poetry but keeps it a secret. He is scared to participate in most activities for whatever reasons. I can really identify with his character since I often find it extrememly difficult to be a participant and show my colors. I felt like Todd had this huge wonderful soul inside of him that just didn't know how to come out. this is the story of my life. I am the one who says, hey, I wish I could play the sax like Nawanda, or do Shakespeare like Neil, or go get my girl like Knox Overstreet. But, I'm the guy who sits in my dorm room and writes 'carpe diem' in my privatelittle notebook. I'm the guy who gets pissed off at neil when he comes in, catches me in the act and runs around the room with my poem making a ruckus and drawing a crowd. I'm the guy who secretly loves neil for pulling me out of my shell. Thank God for Neil Perry and 'the world's first unmanned flying deskset'. Thank God for Professor Keating and making me read my poems out loud. Thank God for all those guys who were there when Neil was gone and who let me run like a blithering idiot and pour my aching soul into the snow. Thank God! I am starting to come out of my shell at last!
