: If you would reply that you are not that well-known or well-respected yet, then that would indicate there is no reason to change the name anyway, UNLESS the old name just can never fit your new direction, which I don't think is the case (nor do many other people you've heard from). Now if you were named the Daisy-Pickers, and then decided to go death-metal, then the old name might not work.

Then they would have kept a huge chunk of their fan base that they lost, and most of those people would probably have warmed up to Fz eventually. As it was, many of the Mortal fans didn't soon (if ever) realize that Fz was the guys from Mortal.
