This is something Bryon feels and has the right to express, and it is most certainly acceptable for him to do it here. It isn't acceptable to lambaste him for trying to encourage others in his own way. I would not have expressed Bryon's thoughts in quite the same way, but then again I am also hyper-sensitive to any semblance of legalism because of my own experiences in dealing with those who have been injured by churches. That said, I must also tell you that I have known Bryon for many years; he is no religious/legalistic fanatic, nor is he in any way judgmental (except maybe of himself). He does love Jesus deeply, however. The message he posted is clearly something he is feeling himself and is trying to make a reality in his own life. He was not trying to be pushy, though if you have personally had bad experiences with evangelical agendas in the past, I can understand why Bryon's post may trigger some offense. Suffice to say Bryon does not fit that mold his post may remind you of. He is a good and considerate person, and one that you would be honored to have as a friend if you knew him. (Unless of course you crucify him before you ever get to know him.)
Lastly, I must agree that anonymous criticism is usually inappropriate. If you are sincere in your convictions, you should evidence it by leaving a name and email address. We won't add you to any mailing list.
