: don't take for granted how you are connected to your friends. tonight marc and i were sitting in his room, laying on his bed listening to some old music from WCIE and we were tracing the paths of impact that our friends have had on us. He was saying how Jay McElroy was the first guy that introduced him to Crossover. I told him for me it was Robert Colon. Funny! None of us ever sees Jay or Rob anymore, but it's neat to see how God has used them to connect us to so many friends through Crossover. And think, each of us has his or her own friend who connected them to something that they are still doing today. Marc and I wouldn't be sitting in his room listening to old CCM and reminiscing if it wasn't for Jay and Rob. It's neat to think of all my experiences with Crossover, Win, art w/ Chris, hanging with Steve holland, living with Steve, Cari, Sarah, John V., Tim Ogden, etc. And none of that would have happened without me meeting Rob Colon. Like the Lakota saying goes: We are all related. Just some thoughts. Hey--if you can think of it, share a way one person has impacted you that still has a lasting effect. Maybe you don't see this person at all any more. Don't forget them since they might have changed your entire life.
: Later, Bill
Cari who introduced me to Crossover.
Mike Dawson who defended it to my family and assured them it was not a cult.
Steve Meigs who introduced me to a new way of thinking and resonated with my soul and freed me to explore my beliefs and taught me that God could handle it all.
Wyn who welcomed me to Crossover and first gave me a job to do there.
John Lee whom I knew was destined to be my friend from first meeting, and who introduced me to Gothic culture, anime (an art form that has opened a world of possibilities to me), and Jennifer Pekarthy whom I love dearly.
Jay McElroy who never spoke to me as if I were anything less than a part of his life.
Chris whose wake pulled me into many things I would have ignored otherwise.
Bill who has taken my beatings like a man and always knew, and knows, how to hit me hardest back.
Sali whose outlook has added a new perspective to my world.
Bryon who showed me that I was not psychotic, by merely knowing what I was talking about.
Tim Ogden whose seriously anti-everything personality has sharpened mine.
Alex whom I met before Crossover and then again at it, and whose honesty and introspection encouraged me to be the same.
Jim Goetsch whose dialectic taught me much and who introduced me to Black Elk, who I in turn introduced to Bill, who told Chris which started that large part of both of their lives.
Kathy who holds my spirit in her hands.
This is only the beginning of those who have touched me in significant ways, i left out Sean Carter, Diane Stacy, Marcos, Terry, Joe Hornbeck, Scott Gorman, Janice Gorman, Tommy Kolonan, Chip Bennett, Steve Holland, Laurie Traina, and many many others. Our lives are not our own, but are products of the endless interactions between us. You all are my life and this is Holy and Good.
