One of my favorite "only God could do this" stories is about when Bill & I first met. We were with Mark Messineo and various other wierdos at a Jerry's restaurant on Dale Mabry. After listening to Mark and I in some deep (and probably torturous) theological dialogue for hours, where I undoubtedly preached at least five sermons right at the table, Bill made up his mind (he told me later) that he would NEVER attend my church. A good, sound conclusion indeed.

So Bill, where did all that good spiritual discernment go, anyway?
