G is a very special guy to me. No one else has ever connected with me to the same degree as G when it comes to the Dead Poets Society. G has a fabulous memory and one of his special gifts is that G remembers the best parts and the subtleties of the movie. G is a 'noticer'. This means that when everything is happening at once G sees the parts that alot of folks either don't see, or forget. G never forgets. In this sense he and Marc are alot alike. I also have a friend named Jason Broadway who is like this. One thing I like about G is that G is actively interested in all of you. He reads these posts all the time. I think that he and Kim are most likely here daily. Believe me, G cares. G doesn't always know how to connect though. I think the message board has been a good interface for he and I, because, to be frank (I know G won't mind), I don't always know how to respond to him face to face. I realize that part of this is my own lack of skills, but some of it could be that the real G comes out more on the board than in person. At least that's how I see it. G is the kind of person that makes churches survive. G knows how to be committed even during the blah times when everyone else goes to check out something more exciting. G is about community. G is about getting real. If you want to hear how someone really feels just read one of G's poems or raps. G has an amazing ability to produce honest written feelings. You all should do yourself a favor and read his poems and raps. Here I will offer a personal challenge to G. I think you should concentrate more on the stories and poems than the raps. No offense--it's not becuase there is anything wrong with rap as a style, but frankly G, I think you are ready for more thoughtful, non-pop-culture stuff. G needs to comb his hair sometimes but then again, so do I. G is a really loving person. And I am glad to know him.
