I want to watch it sometime! I am feeling really sick today, but when I get better maybe I can come over.

: I was so glad. I finally got a copy of BIRDY, which took me years to find. This movie, made in 1985, is inspired by the William Wharton novel of the same name. It is about a boy who thinks he is a bird and his friend, who does not. It is a great story about friendship, committment and sticking together through the awkward times. It is also full of great info about birds, esp. pigeons and canaries and features Matthew Modine alongside Nicholas Cage. There is a little cussing and implied sex in it, but those things do not really dominate the movie. The movie is one of the most tender things I've ever seen. I've been trying to get everyone and their mother to watch it. Since I've had it, a total of a two weeks now, I have shown it to two people. Today I watched it with Kumar and I think he wants to buy it now. There is alot of psychological stuff in here too. I'm telling you guys--especially Steve Meigs--this is a great film.
