No it actually does have a specific meaning based in Japanese folklore and it has to do with foxes and saying this on the telephone is a logical extension of this myth.
Also one person knows the anwer because he always says this to me when I see him, so i gave him the option of telling the secret or not. He has given very good clues to people who have asked. Unfortunately he does not have internet access, which has sort of made the thing run a little longer than it was intended, but that's the breaks. The prize is still available for anyone who can tell me the meaning.
... Of course if anyone thought about it in the right way... I had to have learned it from somewhere so I could tell the knappy-headed bearer of the answer. And of course if anyone were to think reeeeeaaaally hard they might make the connection between a certain source for a particular Japanese art form that I am openly avid about and since it is the only real source for such information about ANIME in the NATION (clue) they might, just might, be anal enough to search through the archives of such information and find the answer.
