: Yeah, it was funny! The whole time we are watching this movie I
: am sitting there thinking it reminded me alot of Ganesh. And at
: one point Ewen MacGregor's character says something about 'all
: obstacles being removed' and I leaned over to Skydancer, and I
: said, hey--that sounds like Ganesh. Up till then I had been
: thinking about him that's all. I mean this girl living inside an
: elephant and all.....hmmmm.....so then as soon as I verbalized
: this to Skydancer the scene suddenly changes and there was a two
: or three second long appearance of Ganesh on the screen. He was
: black and covered in garlands, and I could not believe it. It
: was amazing. I mean, I knew he was hiding there somewhere, and
: suddenly there he was, as soon as I told Sky. Wow! bizarre. And
: at the end, of course, that pistol somehow passed through all
: those hands and ended up flying far away to the Eiffle Tower or
: something. Remover of obstacles?....hmmmmm......

: I do not tell people to worship Ganesh, since he is a Hindu god
: and I do not believe in Hinduism, however, it is neat to know
: that God does remove our obstacles for us. I think that's the
: main point, not necessarily Christians accepting Hindu
: philosophy but seeing how people from different religions have
: these basic concepts of God.

Very well put. i personally really dug the chaos and the gaudiness. The world moved at my speed for at least two hours. I felt like announcing to everyone at the end, "Welcome to the world as I see it." This may explain some of my wierdness, I guess its the stark apparent nature of moods in the film, dark is dark, sad is sad, silly is silly, decadent is decadent. The real world is not so different if you look with the right eyes, everything relates and portrays the effect. Perhaps this is why I seem so severe...
just musing.
