: : Sometimes you have to be careful when selecting a new nickname for yourself. For instance, let's say you have chosen the nickname "Fly Head." Normally, you would think that "Fly Head" would mean a person has beautiful swept-back features, as if flying through the air. But think again. Couldn't it also mean "having a head like a fly"? I'm afraid some people might actually think that.

: : Jack

:
: There is also the possiblity that you might have cupidic appendages upon the sides of your face. I think another possibility might be that you just have a real cool face, sort of movie-perfect and liquid at the same time, with real wet lips, dark eyes and real cool: eyeliner if you are a girl, or snazzy, sporty sideburns if you are a guy.....something like this, and people simply must melt when they see you and you are just ultra good looking, no doubt....yeah! if you are a girl you are like that real sleek lady in SPEED or the one in MATRIX, or Naomi Campbell, and if you are a guy, you are a cross between Ken Higelin, Wes Bentley and coffee boy #1 at Barnes & Noble, South Tampa, on weekday mornings. So, you get the idea. You just look about phat and that's why you are FLY HEAD.

: here's what i pondered today:

: what is all the sidewalk slabs suddenly just rotated and disclosed this whole other dimension that was hidden behind them. would the whole world suddenly transform into something else, or would there just be this telltale invisible strip that betrayed the former sidewalk? would the rotating of those stones allow other elements of this other world to enter our world, and would this have repurcussions on trade? on human development? on the food chain? also, would little people be involved? also, what about otherworldly pachyderms unknown to modern science? where would such creatures fit in? what kind of an arc of possibility could we be mapping out? also, could we somehow relate the discovery of such a world to an encounter with a manatee in the wild? or maybe just giant otters, playfully romping through the living room of an unsuspecting houseboat?just thoughts. i for one, would welcome such a change.

Names certainly are important. And I thought the same thing you did about the fly head...that's funny. I think that this world exists. I think it is definitely like an encounter with a manatee, I know firsthand, very surreal, and rife with implications on one's frame of reference as a human. (To them we are the majikal people that live in the other world. Ponder that shift! To them we are aliens and they are conscious of that.) I think that this world exists in the hidden places we don't go to. And in the space between my retina and cornea, my skin and soul, my hair and the air. I think it is waiting like static in pajamas to pop out into this world to stay if two pondering threds were ever to come close enough together to allow the arc to jump. Would it then erupt in a flash of revelation and dissappear? What if the two thread ponders could stay close enough and continue to generate enough static to keep the spark alive? In the tignling pain, would that world open up and spill out into this one? Is that what a Shel Silverstein poem is? If nothing else I am confident that for those two or many who remained in the spark, the perceptions of the world would indeed be altered and the world would be made anew. After all, there are more than six billion worlds on earth right now. There is bound to be majik at any given intersection of those.
