As I was saying... We picked up Elrich(the mysterious), Elijah(the runner), and Jason(the rocker). They were all nice and it was a cool way to start out our Cornerstone getting to know some strangers!
Anyway monday was pretty laid back and you could hear some bands setting up their own equipment and playing for small crowds. We met Lynn, Mark and Phil the guys who were camped next to us, the kids really took to them and even though they were a bit older they let them hang out, Lynn really took a liking to Josh and we plan to keep in touch via e-mail.
We were settling in and started planning our days.
That night Dan pulled up in his car he didn't have a tent just a sleeping bag and a cot the kids bugged the H, E, double hockey sticks out of him too. Matt, Clay and Nathan were soon on the boys list of new friends over 18!
Tooth&Nail day was a big surprise for Joseph as they added Mike Knott to the line up which he says made him wet his pants. Then Havalina, Flight 180, and a few more.Later that night we discovered some really cool music at Cornerstone Mag Stage--Busker Kibbutznik (I'm not kidding about that name)was a really cool mixture of spoken word, tribal/primal/native american/african/mid-east/bluegrass, Jon Vaughn would love it,very Laurie Anderson-esque. I would have bought the CD but, Josh beat me to it.
Infridig-- jazz, funk, & whatnot! Innovative and fun! They actually used vacuum cleaner hoses asinstruments, Joseph and I decided they were as tight as Primus and just as good at what they do.Joseph bought them.
I stayed late for worship with Seeds which was really cool!
next time---Opening Ceremonies and Canadians
