Wednesday of course is opening day and opening ceremonies are inthe morning we walked dawon to the Main Stage with one of our new Canadian friends, Shannon. Later that day we went to see Kenper Crabb which started out acoustic due to a power outage all over, this really messed up the other stages, but the stage hands rigged an amp up to a generator in a nearby RV and the "Acoustic" stage was the only one with power. For you Crabb fans it was really cool to sing with the man and no amp, "This land is your land" and "He's got the whole world in his hands" among others.
After that was Randy Stonehill, Brian Healey and Mike Knott. I cought Ester Drang, Blenderhead(Loved 'em...NOT), and the highlight of my day, Havalina! They rocked the house, I particularly enjoyed the screaming and jumping on the bass drum!
Joseph of course saw Mike Knott and The Choir very late due to the power outage and not starting til after the main Satge was over.
Earlier that day I bought "Son of a Preacher Man" and had it signed by Jay Bakker, who was there to speak the next day. His booth was decked with skulls and such, in fact someone made a comment about it to him that night which he spoke about the next day.
Next time...teaching and preaching.
