In my recent post to Paula I can think of two errors that I made:
1) C.S. Lewis was not a desit, but a deist, although he did not remain a mere deist--he accepted Christ.
2) the name of the pub I believe was the Eagle and Child. However, me and my friend Rik Evans have taken Lewis as our sort of spiritual 'Uncle Jack' and we were often rather lovingly casual about discussing him. We often referred to the pub as the Bird and Baby. hehe
