I agree with you, Bill. Sam Phillips does rock. I like her music alot. Her older stuff (under Leslie Phillips) sounds really dated now, but you can still even get those recordings if you choose to. They have been re-released under Sam Phillips.
I'm not much of a Trainspotter, but I believe she sings the title music to the Gilmore Girls show now out on prime time TV.
Also some Trainspotting info... her husband T Bone Burnett did the soundtrack for the recent "O' Brother Where Art Thou?" movie.
