I never listened to her as Leslie Phillips, but I do have Sam Phillips' Martinis and Bikinis. Is that representative of her other work? I haven't really heard any of her other stuff.
: Do any of you remember Leslie Phillips? She used to always tour with Petra and Amy Grant, etc. Anyway, she brought us great albums like BEYOND SATURDAY NIGHT, DANCING WITH DANGER, BLACK AND WHITE IN A GREY WORLD, THE TURNING and RECOLLECTION. If anyone wonders what happen to Phillips' career, it has never really ceased, although her efforts shifted from Word records to Virgin years ago. Working with husband T-Bone Burnett, she has continued to steadily record since her ccm days under the name 'Sam'. Here's a list of all her Virgin recordings. Do your self a favor and check out this great singer/songwriter today!
