: hhmmm....
: is prayer like a muscle?
: is it something that you have to work at and develop to see results or is it something that if you
: believe it will work, it will even though you may not have used it in a while?
God is personal. He desires to have a relationship with all of us. Cultivate that and your prayers will improve. View it like talking to a friend. Of course if you don't know the friend very well it will be more awkward and formal, as you learn to trust your friend things become more relaxed and natural. Like Steve said, God delights in answering our prayers, He just lets us move at a pace which is best for us to develop our trust. And as Kat suggested, we have to be careful that we don't confuse not getting the result we asked for with God not answering a prayer. It's a cleche, but sometimes ,"no" is an answer. God looks out for our best and gives us the best in the right time. So pray for what you need and ask God to show you how to ask for the right things.
