I having to work tonight. The other guard's father-in-law died.He had a heart attack last week and was in the hospitable. Then he had a stroke while he was in the hospitable....We were shut down today because Rain and grass cutting don't mix. But our tree crews are on call....Other things, I bought the new P.O.D. cd today, it rocks....besides that, I had to bury my cat yesterday but that's it...
: I just wondered how everyone was doing on the non-TERRORIST low-down. Not that I don't think this is affecting us all, but I am interested in what else is going on in our lives. For me I just got back from the beach and a great Chinese Restaurant and also went to Universal Studios and got to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe there. Very nice. Also, took that little boat ride that goes to Portofino and back. I really enjoyed the VIRGIN mega-store and brought back a really nice Manu Chao album PROXIMA ESTACION....ESPERANZA and also a Moroccan album by Sawl el Atlas. Pretty cool. But my favorite is Karl Zéro. My latest book is BUDDHISM by Christmas Humphries, and also two books about Avalokitesvara, the bodhisattva of compassion. Oh yeah I also found a cool store called India Bazaar and I got to meet the owner and bought some posters of Rama, Lahshmana and Hanuman from him. Rama is an Indian hero who according to many was actually God in human form. Lakshmana was his little pal and Hanuman was their buddy the monkey god. I always liked Rama since he was blue, just like Vishnu and Krishna and sometimes Siva, but Siva is not always blue. It was pretty neat finding the store and also getting to go next door to the Brasilian store and finally to go one more door down and eat Russian sausage and ham samples. Uau! Those Russians have a great variety of flavors. And I also got to eat some Russain cabbage. Neat-O! Anyway, one of my pals was going to visit today but he had to go to work in an emergency shelter for the rain we've been having. So, I'm here at the house. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention my new apartment. I have secured it and will start moving in in mid-October. I don't have a name for it yet. Instead of pink, the building is sort of mint green, but like a soothing mint green. Also, but I don't want to call it the Mint Green Palace. That just seems so lame and VH1. Maybe I could call it the Blue Palace since the carpet is dark blue. Anyway, it is floating up in the sky on the second floor. The building itself looks like an old hotel. I think that it was most likely built in the 50's/60's. My landlord, Mr. Pound, has owned it for $20 years. I am located halfway between Dale Mabry and Westshore on A Street and Hubert. We are called The Carmen, but I still will give the apartment a name as soon as I can think of what it is. The kitchen is mega narrow, but I think the largesse of the rest of the place will make up for that. My neighbors are mainly elderly. My favorite is Fred King. He is in his late 60's but he is in good shape. He was a professional weightlifter until 10 years ago. Now he still works out and swims daily. What a guy! And I think he knows kung fu. Anyway, it's always good to have a grocery shopping buddy when you don't own a car. Anyway, all this, and my brother having concerns about WWIII and what Nostradamus has or has not said about it, and my pal Pas not being able to sleep, and my buddy Steven having a HUGE new haircut--all these things are on my mind so you get a little snapshot of my experiences this week. Oh, did I forget to mention the Jewish guy who works at Walgreens, Mr. BarAv. Well, I finally went up and asked him why Jewish guys wear those yarmulkes outside of temple and he told me it was to remind him to be humble before God--you know--to keep things in perspective. Wow! I told him that I appreciated him wearing it. That touched me alot. So, on the non-TERRORIST tip, how was your week?
: See ya, Bill
