Organizations have gone to court to take the knowledge of God out of : : the public squares of America. Then people say, "Why isn't God looking after : : us." : : We have sinned against You, Lord. We ask that You might forgive us. And that : : You might bring us to the place where we are truly sorry for our sins, and : : as a Nation we repent before You. And Almighty God, we ask for a spiritual : : revival, a cleansing of our Nation, a cleansing of the hearts of Your : : people. : : We pray for pastors, anoint them, Lord. We pray, oh God, for the churches. : : Give them the fire of God. And Lord, may millions come to the knowledge of : : Jesus Christ. Do a miracle in this land, we pray, that Your name might be : : honored. And Lord, we ask that you would bind up our wounds and heal our : : land. We receive this, Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen. : **************************************************************************************************** : I think this would be a good time for us to forget our "favorite" brand of Christianity (because we are all blind, deaf, dumb, and naked before a righteous God) and fall before God and seek his face, as if it's usually not a good time for that. I believe Mr. Robertson is sincere in his prayer for the nation. I have torn feelings about this whole situation because I believe it is possible that God is giving us a warning and at the same time I believe He will honor my prayer and your prayer individually as well as ours corporately and heal our land. We do need to "get the lead out" and drop our pride. I have tried not to get into the political “this and that” lately but I have to say that I love this land. I am an American here while I am passing through this terrain, and I feel like I am part of a BLESSED Nation that has a special blessing from the Lord. I know people tell us how evil we have become as a nation, but there is a lot of good here to. We are regarded as the "bully nation" by people and nations who seem to overlook the billions of dollars and man hours just given to them as aid to their land. I know this might seem scatterbrained and without continuity but I have a lot to say. : There are a lot of true Christians in America, and that seems to bring me back to the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, where Abraham asked God if He would destroy the Righteous with the wicked and pleaded with the Lord to save the land if there were 50, 40…10 people righteous in the land. Unfortunately there was not found the required number of righteous and the cities were destroyed. I don’t think that is the case here. I have been asking God to have mercy on our nation for the sake of His children. I feel like if we were to actually take the time to humble ourselves, repent of our sin, turn from our wicked ways and petition God for our country he WILL heal our land. : Did God choose to protect our land because we are a people that have it all together? Certainly not! He is gracious and slow to anger. He is forgiving, and yet He is Just. I know our system is full of cracks and fools, but I believe God honors what His children are attempting to do in this land. Our forefathers have set the ground for a country that is at least attempting to align itself with the principles of God. We say we fight for Truth, Justice and the American way. Well I don’t know about the American way, but I know that God stands for Truth and Justice. How can a fallen society that has come from the fall of Man get it right, only by the Grace of God. I am in no way saying we got it right, but I do believe that Love covers a multitude of sins. Does any of this make sense? I feel like God views us as an infant that is attempting to do what is right, but is in a fierce battle against itself. : Can you imagine how all this must make God feel? He lives bearing all of humanity’s misconceptions of who He is and what He wants for us. I feel like he cries for us daily as He did over Jerusalem. I don’t know what God has in store for us as America but I believe that if we do what is right He will honor it and spare us from His judgment, if that is in fact what this is. : May God Bless America!
