The show is called "Zooboomafu". Spelling may be off.
: : Actually I think I have seen the show your talking about Bill. The Lemur is a puppet right? And it's a zoological educational type of show for kids right? I dont' remember the name either. Speaking of kids shows have you ever seen "Between the lions"? That's a good one...I miss Mr Rogers.
: Yeah, it's this ring-tailed lemur I believe, and these two ambitious guys, sort of like the guy on blue's Clues, but not as skinny. Anyway, they play w/ the lemur and then they do things like brush elephants' teeth, etc. And on the credits for the show, they show a real ring-tailed lemur. Personally, I wish they'd use an Indri.
: As far as Mr. Rogers goes, don't they still play reruns of his old shows? I will miss Ms. Prolificate, and Francois Clemmons, not to mention the Platypus family and Cornflake Especially's Rocket Chairs. Oh my, and what about Lady Elaine Fairdhild and her spinning museum, her trips to Mars and the Purple Panda, etc. Then there's Lady Aberlaine and Joe Negre, Chef Brockett and that cow teacher from over in that other place just outside of the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. That's where Prince Teusday went to school. Also, they have alot of windmills there. Do you remember Daniel the Striped Tiger or Henrietta Pussycat? What about X, the owl? I used to love X. X rocked. Also, King Friday and Queen Sarah. Once I heard Fred cussing since King Friday's head fell off and he had to fix it. Also, Mr. MacFeelie, that crazy mailman and his wife were always showing up. Speedy Delivery! Speedy Delivery! Hey, it's time to watch a movie about how they make crayons, or hey kids, let's watch Sharif's trip to the dentist! Then there were all these crazy piano playing friends, ceramic makers, flame-throwers and stained-glass makers coming through. Hey kids, time to feed the fish.
: Now for the Fred Rogers/Marilyn Manson connexion. You see, Fred was caught outside at least one Marilyn Manson show. Reason? To talk to the kids there. He just loved kids and he only sees the good and special parts of kids. So, he is nonplussed by their Mansonite get-up. All he knows is that there is something extremely good and wonderful in them and he wants to talk to them about how they are unique and special. So, he was standing there, passing out cards with some Greek word on them, not explaining what the word was, or why he was giving it out. Everyone wanted one. So, he gave out hundreds. Finally kids started warming up to him, asking why he was there, etc. He told them, although he didn't mean to take away from Manson's show, he was actually there to meet Marilyn's fans and to have a chat with them. So, he did. He asked them all about their lives, he asked if any of them had ever watched his show and they had a huge talk about all their Mr. Rogers memories. He told them that he wanted them to know that he really enjoyed doing the show, but how even more he liked meeting the kids who watched him. It was all real cool. Then later, one kid asked him what the card meant and he told them it was the Greek word for: GRACE. So, then they asked him what Grace was and they talked for a long time about Grace and God and Love, etc. It was really cool. Mr. Rogers also is friends with one 14-year old handicapped Marilyn Manson fan, who once told his mother that he wanted to die. He said that the only thing in this world that he believed in was Mr. Rogers. He said that if Mr. Rogers believed in him then life would go on. Later in life, Mr. Rogers and he met. Once when Mr. Rogers was in the hospital he asked the boy to pray for him and said that he trusted that God would hear the boy's prayers. This made the boy feel even more special and close to God. Pretty neat huh! Anyway, I don't know anything else about the boy. I do know one more thing about Mr. Rogers. He swims each day at like 5 or 6 am.
: Later, Bill
