Hey everyone! Skydancer just left my pad. He was here with Mark and John, the two guys in his new band with an evolving name. We just had a great night. They came over and we hung out here at the Pink Palace before bilocating to Tia's where JESSICA was our waitress and where we also saw Crystal H. What fun! Anyway, we had a great time listening to them debate band names. By the way, Mark has also played with Chris and Cody from WINTERHAWK at the Earth Day Celebration in Lowry Park. Mark and Chris both also work with the band CHIME when they play locally. You can see CHIME on the net at: www.chimeworld.com. Anyway, after dinner we came back to my pad and crashed in the powwow room, ad listened to DANIELSON and KARL ZÉRO. Pretty cool night! Then John played guitar and created great songs from scratch. Then we listened to SAL IOZZIA singing his classic hit, THE IMPROVISATIONAL SONG, from his wonder album NO MY BRAIN IS NOT LIME JELLO. Finally around 1 am, Mark and John fell off to sleep. While they went to the land of Wynken, Blynken and Nod, Sky and I headed off to the Walgreens to pick up my Carrot-Orange Sobe Elixir and some water for the house. We were looking to see if Bar Av was there, the nice Jewish guy who I talked to there once. But he wasn't, so Diego rang up our drinks. Tonight was a good night of magical happenings. Also, tonight was the first night that really seemed like fall and so in honor of it, we lit up a jack-O-lantern and turned off the air, opening the windows. Chris and I went out on the back porch, since John was counting sheep and Mark was counting textured simians. So, Chris and I talked until the wee hours of the morning. He listened to all my frustrations and doubts about God and Christianity, and he was a real sport, understanding, yet firm in his insistence about Christian truth. It was cool. It was almost like the old Pastor Chris, except now he looks just like a cross between ELVIS COSTELLO and LISA LOEB. I mean it, you should see his glasses. I keep calling him Lisa now. By the way, I was glad to find out that I was the one who got him into LOEB--he finally owns a cd of hers. I'm still looking for takers on JOHN WESLEY HARDING and SAM PHILLIPS. I think Thistle has gotten into her. Anyway, I have used the word anyway liberally throughout this missive. Anyway, I was so pleased to meet John, not just because he plays guitar for Sky's band, and not just because he knows how to bang his feet under the table like a little kid, and not because his hair is as wilf as Winthrop's, but because he is the person I have been looking for for almost 7 years--another person who loves DANIELSON just as much as me. So, as you can see, John and I should be getting along famously. I really like this kid. The only thing that bugs me is that my little Catfish was out tonight. Març likes to go out to a club every now and then. I don't mind that he went out, but I do regret that he didn't have a chance to meet John. I think the two of them would really click. By the way, I can't wait to tell Març that John really liked our 'no furniture' setup here. One last anyway, Chris is doing well and send his regards.
