I think it's too hard to pin down any real definition of friendship. It is a relation between people, that means that each one will have its own set of circumstances and characteristics. Some people have friends that they only see at work, so that is one kind, there are long distance friends, there are aquaintance friends, there are friends that you don't even really know, there are deep abiding friends there are friends who are lovers, there are friends who only base the friendship on one common interest and nothing else. I think of all of the people I would call friends, and I try not to use the term too loosely, and each one is different. My relationship with you is nothing like my relationship with Tim, or John Lee, or Jennifer Pekarthy, or Bill who is in Maine, or Kat, or Kathy. Each is very unique and special... this is like Deja vu. Did you ask this question before? 'Cause I know I've answered it almost this exact same way in the past.

: what can you share about friendship? i would really like to hear your opinions on this right now, since I think my notion of that is rather deflated. the only thing i know about it is that it requires work. any more thoughts, relections? can anyone share about a friend they have who really touches them? anyone have a best friend, or old friend, who they would like to talk about? what was the most special thing you ever did with a friend? by the way, i'm mainly interested in hearing about friends not relatives or lovers. thanks, bill
