Oh yes indeed I do. Friendship for me is so very important, i think it is MORE important even than family(not immediate children or spouses of course). The fantastic thing about friendship is even though family MUST take precedence at times, friends instinctively know this and lend their support even it support means they must not actively engage in the friendship (does that make sense?).
Friends, true friends, simply understand. They understand your anger at them, at others, at themselves. True friends hug you when your sad, and tell you when you have dressed yourself like a clown. True friends bleach your hair and babysit for you. True friends tell you when they disagree(g(gently). True friends can be absent from your life for 10 years, return, and it's as if they were never gone. True friends don't always know why you do stupid or silly things, but they love you anyway.

If you are a true friend to someone you do everything you can for that person and if they are a true friend they understand when you can't be there for them.

I haven't had many of these type of friends but, they seem to be the kind of friends who stick in there regardless of distance or situation.

There are other types of friends I suppose, but many times an aquaintance will become a close friend simply by a set of circumstances, what a lovely magical thing that is.

: what can you share about friendship? i would really like to hear your opinions on this right now, since I think my notion of that is rather deflated. the only thing i know about it is that it requires work. any more thoughts, relections? can anyone share about a friend they have who really touches them? anyone have a best friend, or old friend, who they would like to talk about? what was the most special thing you ever did with a friend? by the way, i'm mainly interested in hearing about friends not relatives or lovers. thanks, bill
