: Actually it seems that the simple act of thinking about my dreams and telling myself to remember is helping. For the past several days I have remembered pieces or crumbs of my dreams. Last night for example I remember having a dream where I was supposed to fill in these holes in this lawn or park of some kind, and when I looked more closely at one of the holes I realized that there was some kind of tunnel underneath and I remember somebody saying that many people had died in those tunnels...
spooky! man, when you start really recording these i bet there will be some goodies!
i had kind of a spooky dream this morning. as it happens i only remembered a few "crumbs" from this dream. well, maybe more than a few, but i have the feeling that i remember way less of it than actually took place.
paula and i were riding in a car, it was an old car, big american car from the 1960's or so era, no specific make. it was like we were in a different time from the past. maybe even earlier than the 60's. like 50's or 40's. and we were on vacation. paula had on some horned rimmed black glasses and we were set to have fun. but somehow we weren't, there was something big happening in the world that was scary. it was like we were on vacation, but we were running from something at the same time.
we stopped at the house of Karl Jung. he had this typical florida carport like you see on old florida houses on the side of his little house and there was a car underneath it. he was standing outside. we pulled up into the driveway and then we were talking to him, or rather we were listening to him talk. he was saying that he had called a big storm and he seemed rather worried about it. there wasn't anything he could do about it now, the elements had been unleashed and no one could stop it, not even him. we looked up into the sky and there was this huge black tornado that stretched all the way up to the top of the sky, it went up for miles and miles, and it reached down all the way to the ground, and the sky was churning dangerously all around it in a two mile radius. it was almost like a tornado that was a hurricane, the most dangerous tornado of all time. anything in its path was definitely going to be changed forever.
it was pretty scary. then we were at lake lanier, which is a lake north of atlanta where a lot of people go with boats and whatnot. i've never been there in the waking world. we were looking down at the lake from a very high vantage point, almost like the car we were in was now flying. there was this huge sandbar in the middle of it and the wind was blowing hard and there were waves, it was almost more like a beach than a lake. but the beach was in the middle where the sandbar was. pretty weird. i think the storm was coming there too, it was following after us and that is why the wind was blowing so hard. then there was a bunch of the dream i don't remember, and then at the end i was being attacked in this swamp that was an arena with high walls around it. the attackers had alligator heads and tails. i think they were sort of like gladiators or something. weird weird. also running throughout the dream there was this feeling that something really awful was going on in society, like we were in the throes of some kind of nazi regime or something.
man what strange one!
