i stumbled across a site while searching for links to my now deleted, deprecated, disassembled and otherwise disenfranchised / out-in-the-cold-void-of-dim-memory / poor old mindspring site (which i am no longer paying for and has therefore vanished). this is apparently the only site that had a link to my stuff (plenty of sites link to paula's stuff) recorded anywhere in the massive logs at google.

at any rate someone apparently invented something called a WikiWiki, which is a PHP program that allows anonymous persons to edit a public web site. you can create pages or edit existing pages. even pages created by other anonymous or not so anonymous persons. also this particular wiki site "aspires to Zen ideals generally labeled WabiSabi". which is apparently a wiki thing by definition to some degree, but anyway the whole thing is just really cool.

so i was thinking that the wiki ideal in general might be interesting to the denizens of this board, and also the whole zen thing seemed like it might be interesting to our beloved John.

ok, here is a link:

http://alden.berkeley.edu/wiki/index.php?WikiWikiWeb

and i also thought this page in particular might be of interest to John:

http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~meliza/scream/

this page appears to be owned by someone else but still a part of the wiki web somehow (maybe). i haven't got all the details of how it works worked out exsnackly. there appears to be a way to point to external pages when you want to include html in the page, but i'm not sure if that is what is happening here or not. it may just be a simple link.

anyway i happen to like this site and i'm kinda stoked that someone with my kinda brain (a brain that seems to continue to function while creating either poetry or programming) linked to my site. this wiki web thing is pretty cool; i was able to edit the page with the link on it to point to the current incarnation of my old site.

...ok in the immortal words of Stan Lee, 'nuff said.
