Wow, that was quite possibly the largest concoction of mixed metaphors I've ever seen. That actually takes talent, lint and soup and symbolic logic and fate and dreams and shadows and mirrors and bridges and locks and pets. I'm really impressed. If it wasn't that my brain worked very much the same way I'd have absolutely no idea what you were talking about ;)
I do have one question, what did you mean by "magik is powerlessness"?
: I've been thinking about pocket lint lately. I seem to attract quite a bit of it lately, especially with new clothes fresh from the first wash. This message falls into the "pocket lint" category if ever a message did...
: 1. The word "dream" has two meanings: a) Experiences that happen while sleeping, and b) A hope for something in the future (my rough definitions)
: 2. "Vision" can be given the same two meanings if one tries hard enough.
: 3. What is the root concept behind "Fate" or "Destiny" ??
: It seems that the "b" definitions can be somewhat controlled, and they are somewhat developed by an outside source (be it parents, God, or whatever). Let's call this b.dream.
: The root concept behind "Fate" or "Destiny" (let's call this "pocket lint") seems to have a relation to b.dreams.
: I love the flavor of this soup! For a while, though, I wanted to know what each ingredient was and where each left off. In other words, if I could find a way to taste b.dreams, I could then distinguish that flavor from pocket lint. At that point, I could taste the soup and mentally erase the flavor of b.dreams. The remaining taste was, according to my logic, was pocket lint.
: What I have found, though, is that when I found some pocket lint (after years of searching), the flavor was very different from soup minus b.dreams. So, I have determined that there must be another ingredient. Now, I have been tasting the soup, mentally erasing b.dreams AND pocket lint. The taste that remains is very characteristic, but does not resemble any other taste (although it I can detect saltiness).

: As of this moment, my recipe looks like this:
: b.dream
: pocket lint
: salty variable
: cooking technique
: serving technique

: Someone mentioned "shadow" to me recently in reference to a book I read a long time ago. We have begun discussion about shadows and what they mean. I think a shadow mirrors the bridge between abstract and concrete. This "shadow" bridge mirrors the bridge between physical life and spirit Life... god and God... church and Church... truth and Truth...

: If you were to pick a lock, how would you start? The professionial thief would start with tools and diagrams. He would sweat on the lock, and it would feel sorry for him and just open.
: Either that, or just be nice to the lock and feed it and teach it how to open on its own. I don't know what locks eat, though... probably crickets or lettuce.
