i just wrote the longest post about movie reviews talking about TEA WITH MUSSOLINI and many other movies. Let's see: ROSEMARY'S BABY, REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE and REAR WINDOW. There is no way to reproduce everything I said in that post. Ouch! Cosmos touches ego! Anyway, I will make these comments about each:
TEA WITH MUSSOLINI--Steve Meigs must see. Great movie. The relationship between the late ambassador's wife and Cher reminds me of the spirit of Steve's teaching. Compare to BABETTE'S FEAST.
REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE--watch it and look at Plato and Jamie. Neat movie. Nice monkey.
ROSEMARY'S BABY--too great for words. philosophical, it is about modernism. it is a great story much like A CANTICLE FOR LIEBOWITZ.
REAR WINDOW--those ashes--wow! sends a chill down your spine.
