I'll most likely see you today in 'whatever that 3:30 thing is called'--I guess Asylum for now--am I right? : Well, I hope you are not too disappointed that we didn't get to talk more yesterday Bill, I would have liked that, I just wasn't feeling all too well, having survived an apparent nuclear holocaust which caused my radio active complection It could be worse I could have grown a second head. : I originally read 'Canticle' in my teens which would be about 3 or 4 years ago and then I read it a second time when we found it in 97 at the Cornerstone festival,...oh the math doesn't quite work there does it? : Well I think I would sure love to read it again! : I really got into science fiction when I was younger, i think there are some great stories to be told in that genre, things can be said here that cannot be said in other genres because it's too close to home. : -kat : : Rosemary's baby is about a woman who is forced to conceive Satan's son Andy, who eventually grows up to become the anti-Christ. The whole thing was pretty neat. I think the author of the story Ira Levin was a Jew, but I don't know whether he was Jewish culturally, or if he practiced his religion. Anyway, there is a real feeling of the modern spiritual vaccuum in that movie. I loved it. I would require it for a Christian film class. However, the last scene gets a little hokey. Oh well, you can't expect every film to satisfy in every way. : : I know I keep raving about TEA WITH MUSSONLINI, but I just saw it for the fourth time and I love it even more. I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND it to folks who like Franco Zeffirelli's other films, BROTHER SON SISTER MOON (soundtrack in TWM is not as hippie and drawn out as BSSM) and ROMEO AND JULIET. Check it out! I really love the relationsip between Cher and the woman who played the ex-ambassador's wife. : : Last night I was over at my friend Jay's house and he and I watched DIAL M FOR MURDER, w Grace Kelly. Another Hitchcock film! Once again he proves himself the master of suspense. I am sure Steve most likely enjoys these great films. I can already see him totally anticipating all the criminal's moves. I think that they could substitute Steve in the last scene where that guy comes in and figures everything out. Right Steve? Steve--I would love to watch Hitchcock with you sometime!
