: : I keep thinking about Bill's post regarding spending time and effort rather than money at church. I think that time is just as valuable when money is not an option. Probably even more valuable in some senses. In particular Bill your contribution to everyone's lives is monumental. You are a true artist, genius, scholar and mystic, really. You inspire us all and make us feel that we can do it all too. Although I'm not a regular church member, I know the first thing I ask John when I know that Roan and I are going to try and come is whether or not you're there. Your presence validates so much for me that without you there I feel like a big part would be missing. I feel this way about everyone else too, but you give us all something special, something inside ourselves that we may not even realize is there.

: : I have heard that in the past Steve has done it all himself, organizing, leading, preaching- everything. Maybe this go around volunteerism can be part of the stewardship we share together. I guess when this all began everyone was much younger but now we are more grounded and have the necessary faculties to give, instead of only receiving. Here is where time becomes priceless.

: : What can we do to help you Steve? To lesson the burden of the every day stuff?

: : I think my husband had a great idea about having fellowship at someone's home occassionally. This would be a great cost savings and a chance to share a different kind of gathering. Our place, although small, is always available. We have a lovely pond outside with lots of ducks that Steve loves and Kat, you're sons can go fishing if they like to. I make a great pot of spaghetti sauce and John makes great chicken nachos. If we can plan a week ahead then we can get the stuff and let everyone if they need to bring anything.

:
: That sounds like a wonderful idea and a very thoughtful invitation. I only wish I could do the same for every one else! I am very willing and able to make a casserole or salad to heat up at someones house.(well I wouldn't heat the salad) I like it!

Polla and Kat, Just wanted to drop you both a line and say that you are both blessings, polla you say you have not known the Lord for long but you are full of wisdom and sincere charity that comes from God. Kat thank you for everything that you are and what you do. What a great ride fro me to have the boys in my life, I can't wait for Matt to be in youth group next year and to take the guys to camp this summer. We have a great church, a place that God wants to use as an example to other followers. Thank you all for your hearts in wanting to make things better for Steve & Cari, they are special people who have a unique calling from God, and the rest of the church body. Blessings and love PJ
