hehe, i think its having kids. i've only got one, and i'm completely consumed most of the time with mundane but completely necessary tasks. i can't imagine what it is like to have two and another on the way. wow! these mundane activities add up to very important things. like little people having clothes to wear and food to eat. you know, basic stuff like that. if the little buddies are happy and the wife is happy, the rest of it is just extra.
playing in the band in the afternoon has been so amazingly wonderful for me (if not for anyone else, hehe) because its allowed me to connect with creative STUFF again. before i started doing that, i felt like my creative life was just a few heartbeats away from not beating any more. its good to connect with the magic things. thank god i have something i can do that keeps me connected. even though its a few hours on a sunday, it plugs me into Good Things the rest of the week.
: This is weird for me, because I am feeling the exact opposite, not necessarily that I want to change the world, or even do something about it, but right now, I just don't care. I am too concerned with everything that is meaningless and anything that has meaning doesn't phase me one bit.
