: : these are the missionaries kidnapped by the Abu Sayyaf in the philipines. martin is dead, gracia is free after recent military action. the abu sayyaf ("sword of the father", yeah right) started out as some sort of muslim radical terrorist group, which was bad enough, and have degenerated into a band of thugs with a very simple business plan. kidnap rich people, extort money from their relatives. and, while they're at it, continue to say they're doing it for islam.
: : bastards, bastards, bastards. as much as i'm a bleeding heart on many issues, on this i hope george bush kills them all.
: : : Remember the Burnhams and their family in your prayers....

: I hate to be the one to say this but, Jesus loves the kidnappers, too. : (
And he loves all the murderers that are worthy of death. You can surely pray for them. But certain justice is ordained of God. The longing to see justice--to see wicked oppressors punished--is a popular theme in the Psalms. David, the man after God's own heart, frequently prays for this.
On another note, Jesus commands us that if our brother repents, we forgive him. However, there is no command to no longer punish the wicked anywhere in the New Covenant. In fact, the N. T. re-endorses all the powers that exist to punish evil as being God-ordained. Whatever you think of Bush, he is one of the powers for now. And I too hope he gets these bastards.
