: I guess another way to say this is that at a point in the dream where you become most aware of the universal aspect of the dream there is usually some symbol: it could be anything: at this point the conversations that may be going on might suddenly seem chaotic or odd, since on the local level they seem so unrelated to any universal. but later you can see that even those very words have a new way of relating in the universality that is being introduced. it's like the tower of babel in reverse. first the presence of the symbols of the dream reality cause the conversations to appear broken or distorted. then by uniting everything around the new universal theme, everything suddenly has fuller, richer meaning, so that it can mean one thing locally, and another thing universally. hopefully i'm not blazing an odd bunny trail.
