: ~Wow! I didn't know that Nunavut had separated from the Northwest Territories to become its own
: territory. It's like a fresh new start for the Inuit there, through them gaining self-government.
: I like a lot the concept of 'isuma' - the innermost thoughts and feelings
: I love the seal.

Yeah Marcos, I was blown away to see how cool this Nunavut territory is. Actually, you made me read up on it much more. I would like to see more about the progress of this territory recognized through THE NUNAVUT ACT in 1993. It was also important to see the relationship between Inuit identity and also language:

No matter what others say I for one applaud any group of people that will champion their native language and not just sell out to English. And this is coming from someone who loves the English language.

As far as the 'isuma' concept goes, it is awesome! According Nunavut's official website, "in traditional Inuit culture, each speaker is allowed his or her own isuma. Others won't interrupt until a speaker indicates that they've said all they needed to. There is no time limit: a speaker can sit in silence for quite a while, yet no one will speak until he or she ends with pijariiqpunga. It means that they're finished, and someone else can have a turn to speak. Can you imagine how much we could improve our communications if we all knew how to say the word pijariiqpunga?
