It really pisses me off to know that my children may never know the freedoms that I had as a kid. I know I sound like an old guy when I say "back in my day..." but it was only 20 years ago. Anyway, when I was a kid, the worst thing my parents worried about was me running out into the street and getting hit by a car. Today, I cant let Cloe' walk off of the front porch of my suburban home, without thinking that there is a boogy man behind the tree. These recent kidnappings have made me even more suspicious of my neighbors, and I am generally trusting of most individuals. The story that hit me the worst was the one of the 2 year old Polk County kid whose male babysitter killed him by punching him in the face after he pooped his pants. All that I could see was some joker punching my little girl in the face, and I was enraged. I better stop, or I will write more than anyone is willing to read...
