I noticed that all of these responses are from those who are parents/grandparents. I think this says something for awareness. Those who take the time to love children, are more prone to have these concerns. I guess I feel that all of us can have a sense of those children being ours too. If one of them is violated, the violation entered our camp. To steal our children, is to steal us. We need to learn spiritual paternity/materniy. These children our us. We are the mothers and fathers. There is a sense in which everyone is the mother of everyone else, but I won't go into that now. The main thing is that although we are unique beings we do not exist independently, no matter how much we strive for that. And these are not 'other people's kids'. These children are us.
