Since we are on the topic. I held one of those in my hand once, at a powwow in Auburndale. It was strange. I'll spare the details. But someone had a bunch of animal body parts and one of them was a 'dork'. They told me to guess what it was and so I had studied it for a while and finally gave up thinking it was some strange piece of coral or sponge or something.
