Now, John has allowed me to go there and so I can honestly say Shinji Ikari, not because he is complementary to Kaoru, but because he is the character that reminds me most of the character that I repeatedly am drawing. My character always seems to have some sort of outer struggle using involving the mind and body and an inward peace. Shinji often is shown in mental battles. So, I identify w him alot, not to mention that he looks pretty handsome for a cartoon.

: i realize that i contradicted myself by saying mental battles and inner peace, but it's rally sort of true. it's more like a paradox how we can simultaneously experience these two realities. Jonvon has said this about my characters before, describing the two voices that speak from either side of them, and yet there is some kind of peace or order behind the brokneness.
: That's what I see in Shinji. Not to mention I think his relationship with Kaoru rocks!
