Place: Hillsborough River State Park
Time: 10:00am Sunday, August 11
Directions: East on Fowler to Hwy 301 (7 miles east of I-275), Turn north (left), go nine miles
to Hillsborough River State Park, on the left Upon entering the park, proceed to Cypress pavillion #9 off Parking Lot #3. Park Ranger will give you directions.
Cost: There is a $3.25 entrance fee per car (up to eight people)
What to bring: Meat of choice for your family (we will be barbecueing) and a side dish to share
Activities: There are many activities available at the park for a nominal fee.
Swimming - Adults $2 & Children (12 and under)$1
Canoes - $8 per hour or $20 for 4 hours (you can bring your own canoe)
Bikes - $2 per hour/ inc. helmet (you can bring your own bike)
Horseshoes - $2 per hour (for the equipment, not per person)
Volleyball - $per hour ( for the equipment, not per person)
Nature trails - free
Fishing - free (requires a Florida freshwater fishing license for persons 16 and older and your own gear)
We will have an acoustic worship service and teaching followed by the picnic and whichever activities appeal to you most. This is the perfect opportunity to invite someone new to church. The park is open until sundown, so make a day of it!
