: : : Remember Star Search with Ed McMahon?

: : : American idol is the same thing. Just with more pedestrian contestants, less variety, and trading any actual talent for money-making potential.

: : : But that's just what I think. I could be wrong.

: : Yeah, this was my take on it too. I just felt so strange, like a member of another race, or alien visiting from another planet....I mean, when everyone was discussing it and looked at me like they had just seen a ghost when I asked just what it was.....

: American Idol, for a few fleeting seconds i thought this was some old movie that you had just discovered, like an old Grease or something. then i realized you guys were talking about that awful tv show that i refuse to watch. o my goosh, that crappy piece of shinola is the epitomy of what john was talking about, the living moving and hopefully soon to be dying symbol of complete and utter meaningless mediocrity. i stand over it and thrust a spear through its bizarre head, pinning it to the ground. it must die finally and shamefully and utterly. i spit upon it, yeah. what a collosal waste of time.

It's amazing what you can start with some random stream of consciousness. But I am still confused as to how we got onto the whole American Idol thing. I saw that bill just sort of threw it out in a very disjointed manner, or did I miss something. What was the orignal point of bringing it up, again?

...Wait, who am I...no, I mean you...I... aw forget it.
(the comingling of so many immensely wide brainscapes is truly a phenomena that both puzzles and intruiges, Steven Hawking would have trouble just following this thread.)
