I spoke with my Mom today who just spent the last week with Carrie, Ella and Chris. She explained that she witnessed a miraculous healing period of three days, from Tuesday to Thursday that was almost indescribable. The first night they brought Ella home, she watched as Chris and Carrie wept over Ella in disbelief that such a precious being could be having so much trouble. Mom watched Carrie struggle desperately to help Ella learn to eat and defecate, both experiences devastating her emotionally. Then, on Tuesday, my Mom said that you could feel, FEEL, a power in the home that swept over everyone and slowing, gradually things began to change. Ella started eating, Carrie started find her rhythm and Chris was able to close on the business he just bought. Everyone stopped blaming themselves for Ella's pain.
Ella was taken to the hospital on Friday for her ultrasound and x-rays. The findings are still inconclusive. Horizontal and vertical pictures of her spine show different things; one view being perfect, the other having only a slight bit of fluid, and they aren't even sure it's that. Their pediatrician will review the findings this Monday or Tuesday.
My Mother emphasized how important it is not to feed anything but positive thoughts. She kept saying "don't feed it." She said that knowing Ella is well is what's healing her. She said that your prayers have worked miracles. My Mother died three times and came back, literally. Her wisdom is real, humble, gentle and solid.
