Interesting. Not related to Nunavut, but we'll do a hopscotch. Here's a little something about the history of Galician emigration and such. I know some of this from my experience as child in Venezuela, where there were thousands of Portuguese, Galicians, Asturians (region east of Galicia)at the time.
Thanks Marcos, I liked this. I may be reading it wrong since I don't have lots of Galician reference materials, but it seemed to be talking about a plan to normalize Galician to preserve Galician identity throughout the world. I guess many people went from Galicia to Cuba, Venezuela, Brasil and other places. This reminded me of the citizens of Nunavut normalizing Inuktitut. Pretty neat! I like how you can learn so many things that apply to each other, even though there are also dramatic differences.
