I don't understand when you say this is a gross perversion of humanity. How? I disagree with you that this is wrong. I don't understand why but some people want to conceive their own flesh and blood. To recreate their own genetic material. Others (like me) feel like adopting an unwanted child (of which there are millions) is a good alternative way to go. Whether I have my own flesh and blood, adopt one day, or use some facet of technology I will love that child regardless of how it was given to me.
If these two people believe that they need to adopt out the remaining embryos then that is their belief and I feel it is between them and God. Personally I lean more toward thinking that is a good thing.
Adopting out embryos is a small thing against some of the other things that are going on. What you may ask? Here is something for you to chew on for a while....
There is a couple who are unable to conceive and they are going to clone one of the mothers cells and have a daughter. This isn't the joining of two reproductive cells but just making an identical copy of the mother and calling it their daughter. That I believe is just plain wrong. Combining two people's reproductive cells and conceiving a child in a womb, on a dish, on a tube or however and having it carried inside of a human female to be born is ok by me. when you start cloning humans that is where i am drawing my line on what is ok.
