hmmm, this is hard, because I rarely pick favorites. The best I can do is describe what gets me going about any music, regardless of genre.
I like things with certain energy, whether they be acoustic, eletronic, tribal, slow, or fast. Tim ogden and I discussed this awhile ago. It is pretty much a paradox to me. But as far as stuff that I like in general. Trance, Hard Trance, Deep Trance, Acid Trance, various electronica, but not techno (the actual style of music known as techno, not the generic descriptor) or house. Gothic, both rock and orchestrated. Industrial. Punk, especially skate and surf varieties, and the old stuff. Ska, by extension. J-pop. And various other songs that just hit me right.
