wanted to ask you guys if you know anything about, have any thoughts on, and of course, to pray for bert's shoulder. after seeing the doc yesterday for what we thought was bursitis, the doc gave him a cortizone shot, some vioxx, and recommended physical therapy 3 times a week for 4 weeks. he said it was "normal arthritis for a man his age" (sheesh! does that mean that the majority of people over 40 have or will get arthritis?) anyway, the bottom line is that if the above doesn't work, the doc recommends "rotator cup surgery". i can only speak for myself when i say i'm opposed to surgery unless it's a last resort after all other options have been exhausted.
